Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 12, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Horgan & Company Cleaning LLC website and the cleaning services provided by Horgan & Company Cleaning LLC (“Horgan & Company Cleaning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using this website, requesting an estimate, scheduling a service, or allowing our team to begin work, you agree to these terms.

Estimates and Pricing

Online submissions are requests for estimates and do not guarantee a booking or final price. Estimates are based on the information provided by the client, including the property’s size, number of rooms, condition, pet hair, requested services, and selected add-ons.

Pricing may be adjusted if the property’s condition or service requirements differ from the information provided. If additional time, labor, or services are needed, we will attempt to obtain the client’s approval before continuing beyond the agreed scope.

An appointment is not confirmed until Horgan & Company Cleaning has accepted the request and any required deposit has been received.

Deposits and Payment

A deposit may be required to reserve an appointment. The required amount will be shown on the estimate, invoice, or booking confirmation and will be applied toward the final service total.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, payment is due upon completion of service. Clients authorize Horgan & Company Cleaning to charge the approved payment method for completed services, approved add-ons, additional labor, cancellation fees, or other agreed charges.

Returned payments, disputed charges, or unpaid balances may result in additional fees, collection activity, or suspension of future services.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the loss of the appointment deposit. Repeated late cancellations or rescheduling requests may require advance payment before another appointment is reserved.

If our team arrives but cannot enter the property, cannot safely perform the service, or is turned away, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation.

We understand that emergencies happen and may review exceptional circumstances individually.

Property Access

The client is responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property. Entry instructions, access codes, parking information, alarm details, and other necessary information must be provided before the appointment.

If a key, lockbox, or access code is provided, Horgan & Company Cleaning will take reasonable steps to protect that information. We are not responsible for delays or incomplete service caused by inaccessible rooms, incorrect codes, building restrictions, unavailable parking, or interrupted access.

Preparing for Service

Clients should remove excessive clutter, secure important documents and valuables, wash or put away loose dishes unless dishwashing has been selected, and provide clear access to the areas being cleaned.

Water and electricity must remain available during the appointment. The property must have safe working conditions, reasonable indoor temperatures, and functioning plumbing and electrical systems.

Additional time caused by clutter, restricted access, or unexpected conditions may require approval and an additional charge.

Pets

Clients must disclose all pets before service and provide any necessary instructions. Pets should be secured if they may become anxious, aggressive, disruptive, or attempt to leave the property.

Horgan & Company Cleaning is not responsible for escaped or injured pets that were not properly secured. Our team may leave or decline service if an animal creates an unsafe working environment.

Service Scope

Our team will perform the services listed in the accepted estimate or service agreement. Tasks not included in the agreed scope may require additional time and charges.

Cleaning results depend on the age, condition, material, and previous care of each surface. Some stains, discoloration, hard-water damage, mold staining, permanent buildup, damaged grout, worn finishes, or other conditions may not be completely removable through standard cleaning methods.

We cannot guarantee that every stain or area of buildup will be fully restored.

Services We Do Not Provide

Unless specifically agreed upon in writing, Horgan & Company Cleaning does not provide:

  • Mold remediation

  • Pest or infestation cleanup

  • Biohazard, bodily-fluid, trauma, or crime-scene cleaning

  • Hoarding or extreme-condition cleanup

  • Heavy smoke or nicotine restoration

  • Hazardous-material removal

  • Carpet shampooing

  • Exterior window cleaning

  • High-access work requiring unsafe ladders or equipment

  • Commercial kitchen exhaust-system cleaning

  • Floor stripping or waxing

  • Large-item, furniture, or junk removal

Our team may stop or refuse service if undisclosed conditions present a health or safety risk.

Move-In/Out Cleaning

Move-In/Out Cleaning is intended for vacant properties unless otherwise agreed in writing. Furniture, personal belongings, and excessive trash should be removed before our team arrives.

Cleaning does not guarantee the return of a rental security deposit. Landlords and property managers make their own decisions based on lease terms, property damage, and other conditions outside our control.

Commercial Cleaning

Commercial services are limited to the tasks and schedule listed in the accepted proposal. Clients are responsible for securing confidential documents, cash, inventory, electronics, and employee belongings.

Specialized sanitation, industrial cleaning, medical cleaning, hazardous-material handling, or regulated cleaning services are not included unless expressly stated in writing.

Breakage, Damage, and Pre-Existing Conditions

Clients should secure valuables, fragile objects, sentimental items, artwork, and unstable furnishings before service. Our team should be notified of delicate, damaged, loose, or specially treated surfaces before cleaning begins.

Horgan & Company Cleaning is not responsible for ordinary wear, pre-existing damage, improperly installed items, unstable furniture, manufacturer defects, or damage caused by age, deterioration, or undisclosed surface requirements.

Any concern involving possible damage must be reported within 24 hours of service and supported with photographs or other reasonable documentation. We must be given an opportunity to inspect the affected area and determine an appropriate resolution.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

Quality Concerns

If you believe an included area was missed or did not meet the agreed service standard, contact us within 24 hours and provide photographs when possible.

We will review the concern and, when appropriate, arrange a reasonable corrective cleaning of the affected area. Quality concerns do not automatically qualify for a refund. We must be given an opportunity to inspect or correct the work before another cleaner or company performs additional service.

Before-and-After Photographs

Our team may take photographs of work areas before and after service for documentation, quality control, training, damage verification, or communication with the client.

Photographs that identify the client, address, personal information, or private belongings will not be used publicly for marketing without permission. When possible, marketing photographs will be cropped or selected to avoid identifying the property or client.

Health, Safety, and Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to delay, stop, or refuse service when conditions are unsafe, unsanitary beyond the agreed scope, threatening, discriminatory, abusive, or materially different from what was disclosed.

This includes aggressive animals, weapons, illegal activity, active infestations, hazardous substances, excessive heat, lack of utilities, structural hazards, or inappropriate conduct toward team members.

Charges may still apply for time reserved, travel, or work already completed.

Weather, Illness, and Unexpected Events

Appointments may be delayed or rescheduled because of severe weather, illness, staffing emergencies, unsafe travel conditions, utility outages, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We will communicate as soon as reasonably possible and work with the client to arrange another service time. We are not responsible for indirect losses caused by a reasonable delay or rescheduling.

Recurring Services

Recurring appointments continue according to the agreed schedule until cancelled by the client or Horgan & Company Cleaning.

Prices may change because of service frequency, property condition, additional rooms, expanded scope, operating costs, or prolonged gaps between appointments. We will provide notice before a new recurring price takes effect whenever reasonably possible.

Either party may discontinue recurring service. The 48-hour cancellation policy still applies to individual appointments already scheduled.

Promotions and Discounts

Promotions and discounts are subject to their stated terms, availability, and expiration dates. Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts cannot be combined, exchanged for cash, or applied retroactively.

We reserve the right to correct promotional errors or decline discounts obtained through misuse or inaccurate information.

Website Use

Website content, photographs, graphics, service descriptions, branding, and written materials belong to Horgan & Company Cleaning LLC or are used with permission. They may not be copied, republished, sold, or used commercially without written authorization.

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate, but pricing, availability, service descriptions, and policies may change. Information displayed on the website does not override the terms of an accepted written estimate or service agreement.

Privacy and Electronic Communications

Information submitted through our website, estimate forms, payment platforms, or scheduling systems will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and the policies of the applicable service providers.

By contacting us or requesting service, you consent to receive communications related to estimates, appointments, invoices, payments, and customer service by email, telephone, or text message. Marketing communications may be stopped using the unsubscribe or opt-out instructions provided.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the terms were last revised.

The version in effect when a service is booked generally applies to that appointment unless a later change is required by law or separately accepted by the client.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Nothing in these terms removes any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
